Don’t you just love the brisk, crisp scent of Fall? It makes me so happy to step outside into the fresh, cool air in the morning, walk over the first crunchy leaves, and take in all the colors and scents of this season.
At the same time, I realize that the scent I am romanticizing is actually a form of decay and death - something that we humans are usually less than excited about. Sure, we might appreciate the beauty of the fall season, but in our own lives, we tend to hold on to our old identities, stories and connections for dear life, even when we know they already started to rot a little.
And we forget that we too are natural beings, and our lives have cycles.
On my Linkedin feed, my beloved fellow coaches just won’t shut up about how we continuously need to level up, chase our dreams and reach for the stars.
But what this season calls forth, is quite the opposite. Its vibrant colors and crispy scents invite us to explore how beautiful it can be to let things go, so that when spring arrives, we have the space and energy to blossom again.
What are the things you’d like to let go of?
Maybe it’s your imposter syndrome, or your tendency to overcommit. Maybe it’s an unproductive habit (doom scrolling, anyone?). Maybe you are holding on to old grudges, or relationships that no longer serve you. Or maybe you’re still chasing
outdated goals, expectations and dreams.
So how do you let go of these things? The trees make it look so easy when they gracefully drop their leaves, but we humans tend to need a little more guidance. There a powerful breathing exercises, journalling prompts, and rituals to release your burdens into fire, water, earth or air you can do.
And, as you may remember from my previous post 😉 I am now trained in guiding powerful coaching processes in nature, that help you to let go with grace and gratitude. If you’d like to learn more, hit reply or book a quick call so I can tell you more!
